Trivia and Quotes

  • Quotes

    • Adrianne: I like a grizzly look as long as it's maintained. Facial hair requires maintenance; you can't just grow it out and be done with it.

    • Adrianne: I love to do comedy.

    • Adrianne: I would love to play Wonder Woman on the big screen.

    • Adrianne: Obviously I love working in film and television, but I started in theater and I'd love to be on Broadway.

    • Adrianne: I was the kid growing up who would play with G.I. Joes in a pink dress and then run off to play with my Barbies. It doesn't mean that I'm less girly, it just means that I have this other side of me. It's kinda cool to be a little bit of both, I think.

    • Adrianne: With all the care that women do and all the money we spend to maintain our hair, men can at least take the time to wash their face with a simple inexpensive product that will soften their facial hair so they're not hurting us when we go in for a kiss. Trust me, guys, women will want to kiss you more if you take care of your facial hair.

    • Adrianne: My favorite action movie growing up was Supergirl. It wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination, but it was my favorite because I wanted to be her. I have a Supergirl tattoo.

    • Adrianne: I want a guy I can go hiking with, who wants to do outdoorsy stuff. It's so much fun to be out in nature and who better to do that with than the person you're dating?

    • Adrianne: My brother is a comic-book writer, and I was always in love with comics.

    • Adrianne: I'm naturally athletic, and I think playing strong, female roles just kind of happened.

    • Adrianne: I love shopping; I'm a jeans and a T-shirt kind of girl, but I go classy when I dress up - with a little bit of sexy.

    • Adrianne: Alan Moore's writing is almost novelistic. It's very intricate and wordy and smart.

    • Adrianne: The hardest thing as an actor is that you work really hard constantly for these roles, and you invest so much in it. And when they don't come to fruition and nobody sees them, there's a part of you that dies a little bit. It's like, 'Ah! But I worked so hard!' But that's the business.

    • Adrianne: I'm very tall, so I like a guy who's bigger than me - it makes me feel feminine and safe. I don't like to be hovering over a guy or feel like a linebacker.

    • Adrianne: The energy of live theater is indescribable. You are just in the moment for an hour and a half.

    • Adrianne: It looks better when you do your own stunts, because seeing somebody's face when they're doing them is fun for the audience.

    • Adrianne: I'm addicted to tattoos. I can't stop; I love them.

    • Adrianne: I love a sandwich that you can barely fit in your mouth because there's so much stuff on it. The bread should not be the main thing on a sandwich.

    • Adrianne: Angelina Jolie is my inspiration.

    • Adrianne: It's scary to be an actor and come in and be like, you have power. Usually it's "Stand there, say this, know your lines."

    • Adrianne: I keep myself grounded by surrounding myself with amazing people. My three priorities in life are my family and friends, my career, and just living!

    • Adrianne: Be who you are. Don't listen to other people's ideas of who you should be. Beauty does come from within. Be yourself!

    • Adrianne: I think I feel the most beautiful when I put on a sexy pair of heels and go out with the girls.

    • Adrianne: It was very cold. That's what I remember most. It was like 30 degrees and breezy and there were like 20 people there but, you know, it wasn't a big deal.

    • Adrianne: I think the character of Kara in Smallville was a little different from the one in the comic because her motive is different. She's not evil by any means whatsoever, but she does come to Clark for a specific reason. She doesn't really have a sense of right or wrong; the morality isn't there.

    • Adrianne: My psyche has been very impacted in that there are moments where you're, like, "Do I really want to do this?" Though I know in my heart this is what I really want to do, the question was: would I enjoy the process itself?

    • Adrianne: (on working with John Woo) We had a fight scene that was amazingly well-choreographed, but then Mr. Woo came in and said, "Very good, but do this," and he goes in there and starts fighting. It's just amazing to see John Woo kick alien ass! It's not something you get to see very often.

    • Adrianne: When I lived in New York for those three months, I needed to see a play every week, because eventually that's where I want to end up.

    • Adrianne: In all honesty, it's unbelievable to get these roles. You work so hard when you're trying to be cast and to get a guest role on a low budget show would be a dream come true, but to be able to do these two shows and play these characters, there are no words. I am so lucky to have done them.

    • Adrianne: (on working with John Woo) And to work with Mr. Woo, he's just the most amazing person. He's Yoda, the master of what he does.

    • Adrianne: I just needed this little glimpse to see that I've never been happier than when I've been on sets performing. It's the most amazing feeling in the world, and I think I needed this to keep going, to keep thriving and to keep going for it.

    • Adrianne: (on Smallville producer Greg Beeman) Greg Beeman used an analogy that kind of helped me through the process, which is that Kara's an angel who comes to Jesus, who is Clark, and is telling him what he's going to be, with Jor-El being God. So throughout the entire thing she's the messenger, sent to help Clark see what he needs to see, because he doesn't know the full extent of his powers yet.

    • Adrianne: I liked the character of Judy for the fact that she's me when I was 16, she has the same problems as normal 16 year-olds, so when I went in to audition, it was a breeze to understand her.

    • Adrianne: I would love to do Broadway, I don't think there's anything more amazing than theatre. Okay, Supergirl is number one. Maybe I could be Supergirl on Broadway! That would be perfect.

    • Adrianne: (on Katie Holmes) Not to say that she had it easy, but she did book Dawson's Creek from Toledo.

    • Adrianne: (about Katie Holmes) She was in high school. She sent in a tape as an audition. She wouldn't go in to test because her school was doing Damn Yankees and there was no-one to fill in for her, but they postponed the test for her and then she got the part.

    • Adrianne: I love science fiction and all of that stuff.

    • Adrianne: I'm a geek but it's the best thing to be.

    • Adrianne: You don't really grasp the idea of what it's really like, but I'm glad it didn't happen right away, because the experience of going through the process has only benefited my acting.

    • Adrianne: (on being from the same town as Katie Holmes) Katie is from my hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

    • Adrianne: So, coming from that and seeing that as the only form of reality I knew from the business, I was like, "I'm going to go to Los Angeles and in a month I'll be doing movies or a show."

    • Adrianne: I had to move back to Toledo because of a little thing called money.

    • Adrianne: I used to watch Lost In Space with my dad.

  • Fantastic actress and person.

Not only is she talented but she so nice. I got the privilege of meeting her at an Obama convention and she was amazing, even signed an autograph for me and let me take a picture with her. I'm sure I made a complete fool out of myself, but she was real cool about it. She went to high school with a bunch of my friends and they all have good stuff to say about her too. I always find it cool when you find out that actors are not only talented, but also nice people.

She was one of two people leading the discussion at the conventions and it was pretty interesting seeing her interact with the other guy (Seth MacFarlane), she laughed a lot.moreless
  • Jessica was such an awesome character on Supernatural.

    9.9
If anyone remembers Jessica was the first person to say something in the Pilot episode. It was not Sam or Dean! Wow.

Anyways! Adrianne seemed like just the right person to play Jessica; Sams girlfriend. She had the looks, the charisma and the height! Sam is tall enough as it is. I think she is a great actress, and I especially love seeing her in the season 2 episode 'What is and What Should Never Be'. She plays a real charming person who deserves a great guy like Sam. Overall I was very impressed with her actiong skills and I hope she pops up again for a little bit in season 3.moreless
