Female Pop Star: Martina McBride, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera.

American Idol Judge: Simon Cowell because he has a soft side.
Her other talents besides singing are dancing, shopping and she also runs track.

She started singing at age 4 or 5 when her dad and older sisters heard her singing and they thought that she had talent.
Alaina (on the reaction to her video where she doesn't like her food touching): It's really funny because on the video I look really OCD about it. But it's really not that bad. It's just a little pet peeve. I had a lot of people say, "You know, I have a friend who doesn't like all their food touching," so it's good to know I'm not the only one.
Alaina (on her favorite past Idols): I definitely loved Kelly [Clarkson] from the very first moment I saw her. I seriously remember sitting in my living room and she just blew me away. I also loved ...Chris Daughtry, I loved him.
Alaina (on how she felt like when Simon said it looked like her grandmothers dressed her): What do you say to that? It's really crazy. I actually loved the dress and, I don't know if the camera showed them, but I wore cute orange high heels. I actually wore those to make the dress younger so I was really surprised when he said that. I liked my dress and I've had other people say that they liked it too.
Alaina (on if it was hard to connect with older songs): It was definitely hard to portray songs with emotions when I'd never really heard them before. I was really looking forward to the '90s if I would have stayed but ... I'm really happy with [my song, 'Hopelessly Devoted to You']. I really love 'Grease.' It's my favorite movie so I'm really glad I sang the song.
Alaina (on if she and Kady Malloy were close): We were really good friends. It was really sad that it came down to me and her. She was actually really shocked because she told me that she was the one going home. I kept telling her all day that you need to stay really positive ... so it was kind of ironic when it came down to me and her. I'm really happy for her, though. She has a great voice.
Alaina (on if she was glad to perform after being eliminated): I'm so glad. At the time, I had so many thoughts going through my mind, I had a lot of emotions. I was saying, "I can't sing right now" but I knew in the back of my mind, I was like, "I have to do this. It's the end of my journey." I really think I would have regretted it if I hadn't sung. Now, the next day, I can really look at it and take so much away from this. It's a blessing.
Alaina (on the worst thing she has ever eaten): I've eaten calamari, I wasn't a big fan of that, but some of my friends have eaten it before, so I tasted it and I really didn't like it, but I guess that's the worst thing.
Alaina: I have always been a big fan of Martina McBride. I love country music, but if I was going to further my career I'd like to do like a pop-country, but I've always loved Martina McBride. She's a big influence.
Alaina (on who she gets compared to): Well I do obviously get compared to Carrie [Underwood] a lot. We both sing country, but I don't think, I don't personally see the appearance. I can understand if I'm far on stage. I've had people there sitting right by me saying I look like Carrie, but I don't see it. I think that our voices are different, so I don't think we sound that much alike, but I don't know, I guess in style it would be Carrie, but I think we're still different.
Alaina: I don't get any joy from anything else other than singing and it just makes me happy and I love to make other people happy while I sing.
Alaina: If I don't become the next American Idol, it's definitely not gonna stop me from singing. I've been singing before American Idol and it's something that I love to do. Singing is how I express myself, so I certainly wouldn't stop singing.
Alaina: Other than singing, I dance. I'm the captain of my pom squad at my high school, so I'm really involved with that. I love dancing, I've been on it since Freshman year, so I do that and sometimes in the Spring, I run track, so I'm really involved in my school.
Alaina: I first started singing when I was about four, five years old. I was like riding my bike outside and I have an older sister, so she was always singing before me. So I was just singing while I was riding my bike and my papa was out like water the lawn or something, I don't know what he was doing, but he heard me singing so he was like, "Well she's pretty good for her age." So he brought me inside and I sang in front of my mom and they were like, "Wow, she's really good for you know, like a five year old." So I just started singing since then and I loved it.
Alaina: When I first made the top 24, it was so many emotions all together. It was relief because I've been waiting so long to find out, so I was really relieved that I finally knew something and just it was amazing that I've gotten this far. Like when I first made it to Hollywood, I was amazed that I had made it that far, so each step is just even more amazing.
Alaina: I've never had an actual job. I was actually gonna apply for one if I didn't make it to the top 24 'cuz I need gas money and all that stuff, but since I made it I don't think I'm going to be applying any time soon.
Alaina: My family has been very supportive of me singing. They've always brought me to all the competitions and everything and they've been so supportive, so I'm really proud to have them as my family.
Alaina: I have a problem with putting words together when I'm a little bit nervous, so I have made-up words before on stage. Like adding syllables that aren't supposed to be in the word so it's a little embarrassing when I do that. I'd say that's probably the most embarrassing thing.
