    • Alan was nominated, along with his Ugly Betty castmates for a SAG Award in the category of Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2008.
    • Alan was a former milkman way before he became a successful actor. Also he is the only actor to have appeared in the fictional TV Cabinets of both President Jed Bartlet (The West Wing, played by Martin Sheen) and President David Palmer (24, played by Dennis Haysbert).
