Comedian Alan King started out as a radio performer at the age of 14 and dropped out of school at 15 to work full time in the Catskills at the Hotel Gradus. His biting and satiric humor of growing up in tough nieghborhoods and his impersonations soon got him into trouble and he went on to work in the burlesque houses in Canada. He also became a professional boxer winning 20 straight bouts. Alan's style changed when he noticed how Danny Thomas was spoke to the audience not at them as he did. King began receiving roles on television programs in the 50's such as The Garry Moore ShowMore where he appeared on a recurring basis, Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall and The Ed Sullivan Show. Alan appeared in several motion pictures most notably Casino.
