Alberta Grant studied ballet while growing up and attended the Professional Children's School in New York City. As a child she appeared in the NYC Ballet Company's production of "The Nutcracker" in the role of "Clara". She went on to appear in the Broadway Productions of "Seidman and Son", "Mr. President" and "Bye Bye Birdie". Alberta's many other stage roles include "The Freaking Out of Stephanie Blake", "Love and Kisses", "Tender Loving Care", "Linda Stone is Brutal" and "There's A Girl In My Soup" with her then EDGE OF NIGHT co-star Laurence Hugo ("Mike Karr"). Alberta also had a recurring role as "Patty Lane's" best friend "Maggie" on THE PATTY DUKE SHOW during the mid-1960's as well as appearing on TV during this time in many commercials ads. Alberta went on to appear in the soap operas ANOTHER WORLD and THE NURSES but is perhaps best known for her very popular 9-year role as heiress "Liz Hillyer Prentiss Fields" on the long-running classic serial THE EDGE OF NIGHT. Alberta Grant was formerly married to actor Jerry Strickler who also appeared as her co-star on THE EDGE OF NIGHT in the role of "Lonnie Winters" from 1965-66.
