Alec moved to America from Russia with his family when he was 12 years old. His mother ran a dance studio, and today Alec runs the largest youth ballroom dance school in California.

Alec has a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley. He has appeared in the Vanessa Williams movie Dance With Me as well as numerous commercials.

    First sight of Alec has been with "Dancing with the Stars". This absolutely "gorgeous" guy has major talent as a professional dancer. Will we be seeing more of him? I certainly hope so.

    First sight of Alec has been with "Dancing with the Stars". This absolutely "gorgeous" guy has major talent as a professional dancer. It's clear to see that he has studied hard to perfect his movements on the dance floor. Not a man of many words but a very quiet individual who seems to prefer his privacy. I hope we see more of him and his abilities in dance. As a result of the high ratings "Dancing with the Stars" received, it is clear that we will see another dance contest airing in the future. I hope we see Alec Mazo when it returns.
