Aled: I don't care about looking silly, because I knew from the start that I was going to look ridiculous anyway!
Aled: I have never worn plunging necklines, diamante and Lycra before, honestly I haven't.
Aled (on Strictly Come Dancing): The best thing I've ever done in my life, ever! Better than singing, better than releasing records … better than anything.
Aled: I did Joseph for a year and was aware of being very stiff.
Aled: I was the one who didn't dance at my own wedding.
Aled: I was not a child prodigy. I was just a kid who sang and happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Aled: There is no street cred in being a choir boy.
Aled: I love my shiny new teeth.
Aled: Like all performers, I have perfectionist tendencies, which is why spending six hours a day rehearsing for Strictly Come Dancing suited me fine. I lost two and a half stone, and finally learnt how exhilarating it feels to be fit.
Aled: My job is not hard work. Going down the pit is hard. Even when I am on tour there is always light at the end of my tunnel.
Aled: I try to find the fun in everything I do – otherwise, what is the point?
Aled: I was never going to be a pop star. It's just not something that's in me.
