Alesha: (After her divorce from MC Harvey) It took me a long time to get to the point where I was ready [to move on], but I am now. I'm getting annoyed about being single now. I'm trying not to look for someone because I don't think I'll find them, but I'd love to be swept off my feet.
Alesha: I feel like there is nothing I couldn't do if I put my mind to it, and I've never felt like that before. When I was growing up, my best wasn't good enough. My dad thought he was helping but if I came second in a race, it was 'Why didn't you come first?'. But that weird way of thinking has helped me because I am always striving for something better.
Alesha: The next 10 years are going to be good. At 30 I'm still young but I've got a better head on my shoulders than I did at 20, when I was still learning and growing. I've gained knowledge and wisdom.
Alesha: I want to grow old feeling comfortable in my own skin. I don't know how I'll feel in 30 years' time but I pray that I won't hate the lines on my face. I want to love the fact that they mark the chapters in my life.
Alesha: (About Strictly Come Dancing) Strictly for me is like being on holiday. I love it – it's when I go home that it's really crap. Being blatantly honest there are other things in my life that are stressful, there's nothing in this competition that is stressing me. I love every part of it. I wake up and look forward to training
Alesha: (About the pressure on Strictly Come Dancing) Lots of things go through your mind. It is brain overload. When you get upset you get even more upset for the fact that you are upset. I think that it is really silly. Being upset gets in the way when you want to progress. I feel like I have wasted time and not progressing. When I am tired it is really hard to snap out of it.
Alesha: I would love to have the classic, stable family with 2.4 children. To me, that would be more of a success than any number of hit records.
