Jon and Ali, a husband-and-wife writing and producing team, created "The Collector" and serve as executive producers (along with Larry Sugar), showrunners and head writers on the series. They've worked in all areas of film and television, including comedy, drama, family and animation. In TV, they were previously the showrunners on "So Weird", a half-hour drama in the vein of "The X Files", for The Disney Channel, and have also written pilots for Comedy Central and FX. In film, they've written scripts for MOW's, features and direct-to-video, including "Fever", an adaptation of the Robin Cook novel, for Pax, and "Puff The Magic Dragon", a planned theatrical feature using the characters from the popular children's song, for Nelvana.

Jon and Ali have won Humanitas, Gemini and Cable Ace awards, and been nominated for a prime-time Emmy. Natives of Los Angeles, they had a long career in Hollywood before moving to Vancouver; they became dual citizens in July, 2003.
