Alison Brie, popular for portraying Trudy Campbell on AMC's critically-acclaimed set-in-the-'60s series Mad Men
, was born in the heart of America's entertainment industry, Hollywood, California and was raised in South Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles. Even as a little child, Brie was already inclined towards acting as she participated in theater shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. She first performed onstage as Toto in The Wizard of Oz
when she was about five or six years old and continued being involved in community theater and school plays.
She attended South Pasadena High School where she became president of the Drama Club during senior year. With the support of her parents, Alison pursued her passion for acting and enrolled at the California Institute of the Arts, where she earned her BFA in Acting. While she was studying at CalArts, Brie had the pleasure of performing in the inaugural theater production of Peach Blossom Fan
at Disney`s Redcat Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles and the privilege of training at the world-renowned Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland. After graduation, Brie continued being involved with the theater circuit in Los Angeles while auditioning for roles on television and in film.

and in 2006, Alison made her debut on television with a guest appearance on Miley Cyrus

. She did a handful of films before landing the her breakthrough role as the upscale East Side wife of Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser
) on the Emmy-award-winning cable drama Mad Men
. In 2009, Brie worked with veteran actress Olympia Dukakis
and former child actor Haley Joel Osment
in the dramedy Montana Amazon
