Amanda was introduced to acting through her school and community theatre programs. She moved to New York, where she studied acting with Sanford Meisner. This is where Amanda's acting career started. Amanda also studied Directing at the American Film Institute and USC in Lost Angeles.
In October 1993, on National Coming Out Day, Amanda held a press conference where she came out publicly as a Lesbian. Amanda actively supports such groups as The Victory Fund, PAWS/LA, the Human Association and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Service Center, where she served as a member of the

    Amanda Bearse is an average actor. hide show

    Amanda Bearse is Marcy from the sitcom "Married...With Childen." She did a great job, but her character got either annoying or boring at times. Her role is still very good, though. She was funny at times, and not at others. Her voice is good, but nothing special. She's talented,though, I'll give her that. Overall, good voice, talented, and funny at times.
