Amaury (on the success of Prison Break): We knew we had something great. I mean, I, I yeah, well from the get-go. We knew from the script we had something great. I just didn't know it was gonna take off that well. It has a phenomenal group of writers. Really, as an actor, the light falls - its a dream to work with these people.
Amaury (on Prison Break): It's one of those shows that keeps you looking forward to next week. OK. Are they gonna get out? What's gonna happen? Or this or that, and basically that's how it works for me as well. I get so excited because I wanna know what happens to me next.
Amaury (on Prison Break): We're shooting right now in Joliet Prison. Uh, this is, uh, a prison from the eighteen hundreds. Very old. I believe there's ghosts here (laughs) because there's a weird energy and it's phenomenal. Its phenomenal in the way that it helps you get into character quick.
Amaury (on Fernando Sucre, his "Prison Break" character): What I love about him is that he has a human touch. He has a human touch... Hopefully your learn to love him. He's a bad guy but hopefully you learn to love him.
Amaury (on shooting Prison Break on a real prison): The minute you walk in you feel this energy and this cloud of all the spirits that are probably going by.
Amaury Nolasco: What's funny is that I'm from Puerto Rico, so when they told me, "Careful with that Texas heat," I said, "Pfft, how bad can it get?"
It's cooling down now to the weather I'm used to — low '90s, upper '80s, but for the first few months it was 110, 115 [degrees]... I was like, "What the fuck?!"
