Amy Smart, born Amy Lysle Smart on March 26, 1976 in Topanga Canyon, California, is an American actress and former model. Smart originally studied to be a ballet dancer for nearly a decade before deciding to become an actress. Her first acting role came in 1996 when she appeared in the film, A & P. The following year, Smart got her big break when she appeared in the independent film, The Last I Committed Suicide. She went on to appear in the films Starship Troopers, Varsity Blues and Road Trip before securing a recurring role on the popular television program Felicity. Since then, Smart has appeared regularly in numerous television shows such as Scrubs and Shameless as well as films such as Just Friends, Crank and Crank 2: High Voltage. Smart also provides voice-overs for numerous characters on the animated program, Robot Chicken. On September 10, 2011, Smart married HGTV television personality Carter Ooserhouse in Traverse City, Michigan.
