    • Andrea Martin: My love has always been New York.
    • Andrea Martin: (on writing for "SCTV") All the theatre parodies were instigated by me, but then we wrote them together.
    • Dave Thomas: (on meeting Andrea Martin for the first time) It was when Eugene (Levy) and I were there slogging away at sketches for "National Rockworks" that Andrea Martin walked into 1063. She was "sort of" dating Eugene at the time. They had co-starred the previous year in Cannibal Girls, a schlocky no-budget horror movie directed by Ivan Reitman. Andrea just burst into the room with so much energy that all you could do was watch. She did an instant routine with bedsheets she had just washed.
