Andrew was born and raised in New York City. He attended the Dalton School, graduated from Vassar College, and started his professional career as a chef all in New York.
Andrew moved to Minnesota in 1992 , and became the executive chef at Cafe Un Deux Trois in Minneapolis. His menus routinely drew praise from the epicurial world. He left the world of restauranteering in 1997 to pursue a more public career.
He now works with Fox News as a featured food reporter, and has worked with UPN, CNN, and the Food Network. He even has his own series, Bizarre Foods which airs on the Travel Channel.
He currently lives in St. Paul, MN, with his wife, Rishia, and their son, Noah.
