AnnaLynne:(On Rumer Willis joining 90210) This is what I foresee. Naomi gets drunk, and she gets a little crazy. Naomi wants to experiment. And then a little lip-on-lip action with Rumer Willis can't hurt anybody, right? How fabulous would that be. They totally need to make it happen!
AnnaLynne: I am obsessed with vampires. I'm a true-blood Twilight fan all the way.
AnnaLynne:(On why she didn't' end up in New Moon) There was scheduling conflicts and I really just needed a break. I worked two years, I came straight off Nip/Tuck and on to 90210. and it's wonderful to work, but I needed some R&R. I was [upset] 'cause I really love the film, all of them, the books and everything and I have a lot of friends on the movies. But in the end, I got to go to Europe for two months ... so I can't say that I'm too pissed.
AnnaLynne: I had several offers for the summer, but I decided there wasn't anything I really 100 percent wanted to do. I ended up telling my agent, 'I'm sorry. I'm not available. I'm leaving. Don't call me. I need some time and I just want to be by myself for a little bit.
AnnaLynne:(On her favorite part of working on 90210) The paycheck [laughs]! I think it's so funny because going into it I was a little scared. I had several reservations about taking a show and it ended up being so awesome, such a good choice. It's been great for my organization. Going into a show and locking yourself up for a couple years is a little scary when you have fear of commitment like me, but actually everyone's been so super cool and we're just a big family now.
AnnaLynne: (On what gets her fired up) I am a fanatic, crazy girl when anything comes to football! This whole year I've been pretty much fired up against everybody 'cause I was angry about Tom Brady. But, I was rooting for the Cardinals. I went to the NFC championship in Arizona, playing against the Eagles and you just see me screaming my voice hoarse that trip and I was so upset, but it was such a good game. If I'm ever gonna get fired up it's with football and screaming at the TV! I'm one of those girls.
AnnaLynne: (On listening to Anthony Robbins' tapes to help with her problems) Everything that happened to me, I was just like, Anthony Robbins said I could close the gap from where I am to where I wanted to be, so I'm just going to do it!
AnnaLynne: (On what she dressed like as a teen)I was always the girl who wore the mismatching socks, frizzy hair, ponytail I wouldn't take out for a week, and cutoff jean shorts that were at my knees.
AnnaLynne: (On getting her role in Nip/Tuck) In my life, I'm black and white, I'm 0 to 100. It's either one or the other. So a role like Eden is the best thing for me, because most people wont go all the way there, and I can't do anything but that. Sometimes what I do is too much, because I just go there. It's who I am.
AnnaLynne: (On acting) I was saying to my agent, 'I'm gonna move back to New York and find something I'm passionate about besides this.' It's funny how you can want something for such a long time. And then, the more I worked, the more I hated what people make this industry about-this money-hungry, greedy, egotistical world about the next big thing and who gets to play God. So I quickly started to realize that I had to do this not just for the sake of doing it, but for something that meant more than this does.
AnnaLynne: (On the difference between her career and reality) We look at a person and see the person we want to see. I've had to deal with that my whole life, walking in a room and girls thinking I'm going to steal their boyfriends!
AnnaLynne: (On what she does for the environment) There is a wonderful restaurant that I frequent, across from Sony Studios, down in Culver City, called Skratch. It's completely green. They have healthy sandwiches. They're really great! All the by-products are bio-degradable. They recycle everything and they use recycled paper. I love that restaurant, and I love supporting it.
AnnaLynne: (On embarassing red carpet moments) I love my outfits! I spend a lot of time and I really try to make a big difference in my looks, so that I keep a variation. But, I have had a couple nipple slips. I don't remember when, but it was early on and my sister said, "Can you use double-stick tape next time?" So, double-stick tape is always in my pocket, from then on.
AnnaLynne: (On her favorite outfit borrowed from the 90210 set) My favorite thing was not even from Naomi's closet. It was from Lori Loughlin's closet, and I wore it to the Do Something Awards for teens who are doing something in their communities. It was a pair of Joker-esque slacks and a blazer, but I ended up just wearing a Mason bustier instead of the blazer. It was pretty hot!
AnnaLynne: (On her control over the character development of her 90210 character, Naomi) I'm known as the opinionated one. I am the one who is like, "No, Naomi wouldn't do that!" I care very much. It's a huge cast, so you have to fight for your character. There are a lot of shows where you'll watch a character and be like, "What just happened?" I make very clear that I like Naomi to stay true to who I was sold that she was, so I fight for her, big time.
AnnaLynne: (On the attention she gets from being on 90210) I wear wigs and I wear caps, but it doesn't work. I was in Miami and they were like, "Oh, AnnaLynne changed her hair color!" I was like, "No, it's a wig!" But, it's fun. It's what we all work towards, even though we're sometimes like, "Oh, this is what we got ourselves into!" It's cool.
AnnaLynne: (On how her life has changed since starting 90210) It's been crazy! It's been a whirlwind. It's finally sunk in that we're definitely on a show, and that it's a hit. We were nominated for the People's Choice Awards. We didn't win, but we were nominated, which is huge to me. That was really exciting! I got to present. It's just a world of difference. It's what I've dreamed about since I was a little girl, so it's nice to finally have it happen.
AnnaLynne: (On Twilight) They wanted me to play Rosalie. I met with the producers when Twilight was casting, the original. I was on Nip/Tuck at the time. And they were like, 'We'd love to have you in this little film we're doing called Twilight but the family only has small roles.' They were like, 'It shoots in Oregon, so you probably couldn't do it anyway.' And I was like, 'If it shot [in L.A.] that would be cool.
AnnaLynne:(On Abercrombie and Fitch ads done with Kellan Lutz) We did those, forever ago. Like, when I was 16,. And so it's been really cool. Ever since he came back on 90210 we've been able to hook back up and hang out again
AnnaLynne: Can I just tell you how much of a dork I am! I used to wear vampire teeth for like, a year straight. I'd go to the grocery store, and as I was checking out I'd look up and be like, 'Arrgh!' Like, I'm hardcore! This is way before [Stephenie Meyer's books], and then
AnnaLynne: (On filming in New York and L.A.) I love New York. I definitely am biased. I lived there for four years. I am happy when I am in New York. But in L.A., the weather is perfect and we don't really ever have to have rain days, so when you are shooting a film like Fired Up! and you're outdoors a lot… It was very nice to know that we were going to shoot what we planned to shoot because it wasn't going to rain. It's difficult on the East Coast and obviously in New England, knowing a cloud is going to come over, and it's going to start pouring rain for an hour or two. That can definitely put us behind schedule if we're shooting a big project. So there's good and bad sides to both, I guess.
AnnaLynne: It's an interesting process playing the bad girl. It's actually a lot of fun because I get to really play around and do fun stuff and build layers onto my characters, but it's also something you step into, and you make sure you step out of because you don't want to be that person in real life.
AnnaLynne: (On Fired Up!) Obviously I did not get an opportunity to be a cheerleader, so for the film I did a lot of boot camp. Once I was offered the role, we had a couple weeks where we came in, exercised pretty much everyday and did rehearsals. It was a lot of work. I have to say, any of you guys out there who are cheerleaders - major props to you, it's a dangerous sport. You guys work your butts off. It's really incredible, the skill and focus that goes into being a cheerleader, and I had a lot of fun learning about it.
AnnaLynne: (On filming The Haunting of Molly Hartley in a real high school) Experiencing high school for the first time as the rich, popular girl with the Mercedes and everyone wanting to be her is great! Who could ask for anything more in high school?
AnnaLynne: I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. I mean, I was the biggest tomboy growing up. I've only recently learned about accessorizing and all the good stuff. I like a lot of leather. I like to throw in leather wherever I can. If it's an armband or a choker, I love leather. I'm not the Chanel girl. You're not gonna see me decked out in double Cs, but I have my own sense of taste, and I switch it up, too. I'll be a punk rock little girl for a while, and you'll see me in a nice flowing gown, something that's a little more sophisticated. And as soon as someone tries to figure me out, I like to switch it up, so you'll never know what's coming next.
AnnaLynne: (On being in scary movies) I did Day of the Dead before I did The Haunting of Molly Hartley, and shooting that and running from zombies and all of that stuff, you kind of get used to seeing scary guys going through makeup. Zombies having three hours of prosthetics put on makes it a lot less scary and a lot more creative and fun. It's all cool, obviously, but not jump-out-of-my-pants scary.
AnnaLynne: (On eating disorder rumors) I have small bones. I love to eat. I'm an In-N-Out girl. I get to eat what I want. I obviously work out. I really like to keep this region nice and worked out [rubbing her stomach], have a little badankadonk action. So everyone's gonna say something good, something bad. The people that I care about know the truth. That's all that matters to me.
AnnaLynne: Now people are like, 'You look like that girl!' and I'm like, 'I know, I get that a lot! That's not me! It's cool, though. I was in the mall the other day and a little girl who was maybe 14 or 15 was like, "Are you from 90210?" And I'm like, 'yeah!' and she's like, "Wow!" And she looks at her friends and she's like "This is cool! This is really cool!" So it's nice when it makes someone's day.
AnnaLynne: I like to cook a lot. I'm a big casserole girl. Actually, last Thanksgiving I cooked all casseroles and then my boyfriend at the time got a little annoyed.
AnnaLynne: (On Halloween costumes) I'm always some form of a vampire. I like to do this little thing where it's a subtle vampire, so I'll dress up like something else. Last year I was a French maid, where I smile and have nice little fangs coming out. I'm not exactly sure yet. I might be like superwoman, Wonder Woman with fangs, Wonder Woman, so I'm a girl dressed up like a vampire dressed up like Wonder Woman!
AnnaLynne: I think hair is such a statement. If you pull it back and make it crazy, frizz it out, let it be blown. I feel like so many people kind of just let there hair go a little bit, and I would like to see a lot more edgy hairstyles, like I try to bring out in the show. I would definitely make it mandatory that everyone goes crazy with their hair, lots of backcombing.
AnnaLynne: I love to kick a**, anything with a little martial arts action. For me, at this point, I obviously want every actor's cliché - I wanna try everything. I have gotten offers, which is exciting, but I can't do anything because I'm so busy! I'm pulling through a couple projects, one of which I'm pretty much signed onto unless another one that I really want comes up. It's one between the two since we got picked up. My ideal role would be strong, female lady, lots of a** kicking!
AnnaLynne: I'm kind of the clown. I love doing twirls and cartwheels at three in the morning when I'm delirious. The 90210 cast is just like, 'Oh, it's AnnaLynne again, she's being a dork!' I was kind of the dork growing up, and I kind of maintain that role on set. They just roll their eyes. It's so bad!
AnnaLynne: (On what she enjoys most about working on 90210) I think it's so funny because going into it I was a little scared. I had several reservations about taking a show and it ended up being so awesome, such a good choice. It's been great for my organization. Going into a show and locking yourself up for a couple years is a little scary when you have fear of commitment like me, but actually everyone's been so super cool and we're just a big family now.
AnnaLynne: Actors are so lucky. We have so much power and it's wrong to me, criminal even, to have that kind of power and not use it.
AnnaLynne (on Valentine's day): It's important to love and find that special someone especially this lovely holiday that we have coming up. But it's also important to be safe and to know what's going on and AIDS is on the rise and it's something that you need to be aware of.
AnnaLynne: (On if she likes playing the troublemaker such as in her new role in 90210) I'm so excited. I did have some reservations initially, but in film, I want to do the bad-a** girl, like action, so it's a good role for me. Nip/Tuck, obviously 90210 is more the PG version of my role on Nip/Tuck. I'm still the b*tch. I mean, who gets paid to be a b*tch to people? It's an awesome job.
AnnaLynne:(On her character in 90210) She's a spoiled little rich girl. She's kind of a chameleon. She feels that she has to manipulate...everything needs to be Naomi's way in order for her to survive. Her parents are very blasé. They throw money at her. They don't give her the love and attention that she needs so she acts out. She's very intelligent, but she plays a little dumb sometimes because she tries to fit in somewhere.
AnnaLynne:(About 90210) We're very racy, very provocative, and very modern. But the emotions and the issues are very real.
AnnaLynne:(About her role in 90210) They kind of made my character a little like the girl who thinks she's Kelly Taylor - spoiled little rich girl.
AnnaLynne: (On working with Ving Rhames, Mena Suvari, Michael Welch) We had a lot of fun. I didn't get to personally work with Ving Rhames but I met him on set. Mena Suvari and Michael Welch is who I worked closely with and Mena and I are still friends now. She's just a wonderful woman and I'm very happy that the friendship has developed and has gone on for a couple of years. We just had a lot of fun together. She's kick ass too and likes guns so we connected on that as well as some things in our personal lives. The whole cast and director and crew would go and try the Bulgarian cuisine which was an experience in itself and totally a positive one. Honestly it was just a lot of fun.
AnnaLynne:(When asked what her biggest fear) It's really funny because I used to have this huge fear of snakes. I got over my fear and now I'm actually getting a Albino Burmese Python. Right now, I'm sure there's other fears but sharks. I'm scared sh**less of sharks. I want to go in the cage and go down and see that they're not as bad as I think they are.
AnnaLynne: I've done the school-girl thing but I really love kick-a** roles. I love Tomb Raider and comic books or stuff like that. I love fast cars and motorcycles.
