Anson Mount

During high school, Anson was active in his school's theater productions.

In the movie "Urban Legends: Final Cut", Anson played alongside Eva Mendes, child star Joseph Lawrence, and "Blue Crush" star Matt Davis to name a few.

Anson appeared in the controversial off-Broadway play, "Corpus Christi" at the Manhattan Theater Club in 1998, as the role of Joshua.

In 2003 Anson appeared in a car commercial.

Anson was nominated in 2002 for the Teen Choice Award for his role in the movie "Crossroads".

Some of Anson's passions include photography and writing.

Playboy created the "Anson Mount Scholar/Athlete Award" in memory of Anson's Father Anson Mount II in 1987.

Anson Mount II (Anson Mount IV's father) died in 1987.

Mount played Todd in the movie "In Her Shoes".

Anson attended Columbia University for MFA Acting Program 1995-1998.

Anson was reluctant to play the role of Ben Kimble in "Crossroads (2002)" because he thought the movie, and the role, was too cheesy and lame. However, while working on the movie "City by the Sea (2002)", his co-star Robert DeNiro encouraged Anson to take the part. During breaks from filming, Mount and DeNiro would go over the script from the movie; Mount reading his lines and DeNiro reading Spears' lines!

Anson is the only child of pro golfer Nancy Smith and Playboy sports editor Anson Mount, II.

Anson was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.

Anson graduated from the University of the South in 1995.

Anson graduated from Dickson County High School, Dickson TN, 1991.
