When Anthony was growing up, he attended and trained with the

In March 2007, an intern at the radio station that accidentally outed Anthony was made the scapegoat and sacked from the station, Edge 96.One. While the intern was not involved in the on-air discussion about Anthony and his partner, she was accused of sending an audio file of the conversation to a Sydney newspaper. The intern and the breakfast show's host were suspended for two days, before the intern was fired. The traffic controller who actually outed Anthony, had no action taken against him at all.

In March 2007, Anthony was accidentally outed as being gay by a Sydney journalist. On March 26th, 2007, Anthony ended years of speculation and confirmed the report that he was gay.

In November 2006, Anthony bought two new goldfish and asked fans to name them. They are now called Gin and Tonic!
