Armand Assante born on October 4tth 1949 in New York, New York U.S.A. is an actor with a diverse portfolio of roles to his credit both on screen and in the theater. He made his screen debut in the Lords of Flatbush in 1974. The following four years saw him in guest roles on several TV soap operas. He reappeared on the big screen in Paradise Alley in 1978. He then went on to star opposite Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin in 1980 before taking on the role of Mike Hammer in I, the Jury in 1982. Sidney Limmet's Q&A in 1990 saw a powerful performance from Assante as a drug baron. His roles in Hoffa, 1992, and the TV hit Gotti, bought him further acclaim. Assante is a prolific actor averaging a film a year along with a regular guest spot on the hit TV show NCIS. He has four Golden Globe nominations and won an Emmy for his role in Gotti. He is divorced from Karen McArn and is the father of two daughters, Anya and Alessandra.
