Asher's wedding gown was made out of fine French opaque silk voile bias which was then embroidered in fine silver bullion thread created by Melbourne designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino.

Asher began dating actor Jay Bowen in 2004 when they were both working on the theatre production Cyrano de Bergerac.

Asher married theatre actor Jay Bowen in a mid-week sunset ceremony in January 2007, at the Prince Deck in St Kilda, Victoria.
