Ashton: When you're in bed and you're married to someone, don't fart under the covers and trap her under the covers, because she gets pissed.
Ashton: (on his high school years) At the time I was smoking a lot of weed and partying. I woke up many mornings not knowing what I'd done the night before. I'm amazed I'm not dead.
Ashton: I'm continually trying to make choices that put me against my own comfort zone. As long as you're uncomfortable, it means you're growing.
Ashton: (on making a bet with friends over Jennifer Aniston) Yeah, that I'd go on a date with her. I was in a basement in Iowa hanging out with my buddies, I was probably 17 or 18, and I bet a buddy $1000 that I would some day go on a date with Jennifer Aniston. She was married to Brad Pitt at the time, so I asked his permission to ask her and he said, "Yeah, it's cool, go ahead. I'll film it." So I said, "Okay, great." So we had a date set up at Pizza Hut and then it came time to pull it off and she didn't want to go. Like, I was serious, and I think she thought I was joking. I don't know. I definitely was serious.

Ashton (talking about The Butterfly Effect): I thought that it was a fantastic metaphor for life, and pretty enlightening. And I appreciated the opportunity to play a character that's blind to the trauma that takes place in his life. The violence that is in the movie I thought was a fantastic metaphor for how blind we are as a society, and as a people, to the things that actually do happen on a day to day basis, and how we kind of just block them out. And whether it be through our media or whatever, we go 'Oh, it's not happening in my world, so it's not happening.' In the movie there's a great representation of the violence with the kids, and the pedophilia, and these kind of things that the guys could have taken the easy road, and kind of squeamishly cut around, but they weren't afraid of it.
Ashton [jokes]: Modelling is the best because you have to look hot, which comes easy to me, you know. I'm blessed with that.
