Atticus: (On being on the new 'Tonight Show' with Bill Cosby) When I got the phone call ... I heard I was going to be on 'Jay Leno'; I picked myself up off the floor from fainting. ... Then they said that I'm going to be on after Bill Cosby -- then my heart skipped a beat.

Atticus: (about being on TV) All I know.... is that I feel extremely blessed to be on TV. It's a hard job, but real life is harder. Truth be told, playgrounds can be war zones.

Atticus: (on what brittle bone disease does for him) It just adds to my colorful personality.

Atticus: (on his character Brick in the TV series The Middle.) People just like Brick because he follows the beat of his own drummer.... He's different, and he's quirky, and people seem to think that's adorable. Trust me because I know. It's my life.

Atticus: The only thing I'm hoping about being twelve is just to be a little bit taller.

Atticus: (on actress Betty White) I like to know who I'm working with, so I looked her up... she's like an icon, basically.

Atticus: (on the Heck family) In a sense they're kind of making lemonade out of their lemon life.

Atticus: (on costar Betty White) She can be slightly mean on the show, but she portrays it very well. She's nothing like that in real life. She is extremely nice.

Atticus: (on Brick, the character he plays on The Middle) I'm exactly like him in every way, shape, and form, and the only thing that I'd have to say is different about me and him is the fact that I don't whisper to myself, but I do talk to myself.

Atticus: I really like '80s music, but I like classic music at the same time.
