Ben Miles: (about his life before Coupling) Before Coupling I was a shell of a man. I had no life. No friends, nobody. No, I was doing a lot of theatre, I didn't really do any TV till the late 90's and Coupling started in the spring of 2000.
Ben Miles: (on family and being an actor) None of my immediate family were in the theatre, although my aunt was a dancer at the Palladium until she met her diplomat husband. On my mother's side there was some connection with the Welsh circus way back.
Ben Miles: (when asked whom he would cast as Patrick in an American version of Coupling): A young Burt Reynolds or Tom Selleck.
Ben Miles: (about Coupling and the American remake) It was unashamedly rude, but it never lost its charm. I think England is one of the few places you'd get away with it. The American attempt didn't work at all. We have a tradition of being very filthy in this country. Sex, toilets, oddness. It's very English.
Ben Miles : (on becoming an actor) It was a good way to get out of maths.
