Birth Name



Ben is an actor, writer, director and acting coach based in Los Angeles. He currently teaches acting in Ivana Chubbuck's world-renowned studio in Hollywood. A native of Boston, Ben received his BFA with Honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Ben's numerous film and television appearances include 'Medium,' 'Desperate Housewives,' 'Sonny with a Chance,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'Without A Trace,' 'Heroes,' 'The Comeback,' 'Gilmore Girls,' 'Las Vegas,' 'Six Feet Under,' and 'MADTv' among many others. Los Angeles Theater credits include performances at Sacred Fools, Circle X, [inside] the Ford, The Hudson Theater, Pasadena Playhouse, Electric Lodge, and The Miles Playhouse. Ben served for a year on the board of the award-winning Zoo District Theater Company. He played the Devil in Zoo District's long running "The Master and Margarita." His two solo-shows – "Big Shot" and "In Absentia" have been performed multiple times in both LA and NYC. While working in NYC he has performed at the Classic Stage Company, HERE, NADA, The Ohio Theater, and The Trilogy Theater among others. He has performed in repertory companies in upstate NY and his home state of Massachusetts. His work as a director has been praised by the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and BackstageWest among others and has been nominated for numerous LA Weekly Awards. Ben has trained directly with Ivana Chubbuck for the past ten years and is proud to be a part of her acclaimed Studio. He has privately coached for more than a decade working and preparing fellow actors to use the Chubbuck Technique for appearances in film and television projects including: 'Wanted,' 'Parks and Recreations,' 'The OC,' 'Everwood' and many others. He has taught intensives in Ivana Chubbuck's method around the country and in Canada.
