Bernie Mac

Bernie Mac was by far one of the most underrated comedians on television. His show was good, funny, and quite accurate in terms of its base. I have watched a few movies containing Bernie Mac, one of which was Friday. He didn't have a big role, but he was funny in the time he got. Perhaps he didn't have the biggest movie career, but he didn't need to be a movie star. His best work was as a funny man telling jokes, cracking laughs, and telling it like it is in his own version of comedy. He was very funny. Thank you.

I just wanted write a few things about this comedic icon. I admired Bernie Mac as a comedian and I found his somewhat biographical sitcom The Bernie Mac Show very inspiring. Not only was he able to take a real event from his life (becoming guardian over his sister's three children after she enters rehab) he was able to do this successful single camera sitcom with out a laugh track. Please note that this was before My name is Earl and The Office. On the show he was able to use his stand up skills and break the forth wall to communicate his thoughts to the audience who he affectingly addressed as America. Often times when stand up comic is given a sitcom they are plugged into situations that are stale, unoriginal or just not a good fit. Bernie Mac made sure that his sitcom alter ego and the show's story line were true to himself and his life. I have one more Bernie Mac Quote, "When I get a chance to play golf or go on a boat with good people, take the boat out and put some lobsters on the grill, get the ice-cold beer and the cigars - that's heaven here on earth".



Good Night Bernie Mac enjoy the beer and the cigars in heaven and I will do the same on earth in your honor.

i am just so sad that bernie passed away the other day. he was a great actor, a great comedian, and just a great person. my favorite movie that mac starred in has to be either mr.3000, or head of state featuring chris rock. anyways, bernie macs death really shocked me and my family because we love watching funny movies, and especially movies hes in. i also like the bernie mac show. sucks though because we got no more of it=[. his death really shocked me and we all have to cope with it. to his family and friends, you all have my sympathy. rest in peice bernie mac. you will be missed.

I would just like to ask that the person who posted this little clip of Bernie Mac get his information right. Bernie Mac's birthdate is October 5, 1957. Bernie (Mac Man) Mac started commedy when he was 16 years old, and on here is says he started at the age of 19. I am a huge fan of Bernie Mac and I'm sure that you would not want your information to be messed up when you pass on so please get it right. R.I.P. Bernie Mac you will be missed. Thanks for each and every smile you put on my face. We love you. I just hate to see you go.

Bernie Mac is by far one of the funniest comedian/actors out today. I really came to know Bernie’s comedy through his television series, “The Bernie Mac Show”, for which I’ve seen every episode probably 4-5 times each, and I still watch every chance I get. His timing and delivery is amazing. I have see Bernie in several movies to date, and whether as a support actor, or lead actor he delivers time and time again no matter what the role. His performance in, “The Kings of Comedy”, was fantastic as he held his own or even excelled with his act over the other comedians, but yet you felt the camaraderie between them. What ever he does in the future if I see his name attached to it I’m sure I’ll check it out because I know that Bernie Mac delivers in his performance. I’ll always hold the “Bernie Mac Show”, as the show that really made me notice his comedy, and I’ll always have a laugh watching it is as well. Take care.

Bernie Mac is such an underrated comedic actor as proven in his work on his television show. He has been in a ton of movies, though not always as the star, but in each picture, he delivers a great, almost off-beat performance. Of all his movies, my favorite was "Mr. 3000."

Bernie Mac is a good comedian, and his show "The Bernie Mac Show" is high quality. The show takes place in his life. He plays a strict violent guardian to three of his sister’s kids. He has guest starred in a number of shows and is a very good actor. The movies he are in are sometimes only good because he’s in it. However, he tends to talk in the third person. He also talks loudly and I think he might be crossed eyed. But he is still a funny guy. He is also known for he shows he puts on as a comedian.

I can't believe Fox even put this on after the Simpsons. It was a horriable show. If it is still on I can't beleive it. Fox needs to stop throwing stuff on the wall and see what stick or in this case just slides off the wall slowly. Bernie Mac take some acting lessons please

Bernie Mac is the funniest man that ever lived on the planet earth and some more too but he will keep you laughin no matter what it is a tv show movie or whatever he will make u laugh My favorite movie was Mr.3000 when he told the mascott he was gonna make him a hotdog on a stick that was O.C(Out of control) Right there

Bernie Mac is truly a star in his own right,talented,well dressed and has a wonderful personality plus a nice smile to go with it.I bet when he started out he didn't have any ideal that he would be so popular and such a great actor as well as a comedian
