Bert Convy was a familiar face to television audiences, having appeared as an actor, singer and game show host. Born in St. Louis, Bert and the Convy family moved to southern California when Bert was seven years old. After a short career in professional baseball, Convy turned to acting. He appeared in ten shows on Broadway, including the original production of Fiddler on the Roof, in which he created the role of Perchik, the revolutionary.
