  • Quotes

    • Beth: (on filming in Portland, Oregon) It's so beautiful here. It's so refreshing for a kid. It's like waterfalls and rivers and riding bikes. Everyone's walking everywhere. It's a very green city. It's a nice little culture here.

    • Beth: (recounting her first big break -- a Sure Deodorant commercial) It was my first job. I was like, 'I've made it! I did it!' I was really excited.

    • Beth: Acting I always loved, but I think I was always kind of a character in real life. I was always goofing off and having fun.

    • Beth: (on "Leverage" being the most fun she's ever done so far; in a 2009 interview) Absolutely. I mean, I've had a lot of fun working before [on such series as Without a Trace], but this has presented a whole new set of challenges for me - physically and everything.

    • Beth: (about doing her own stunts on Leverage) I do as many of the stunts I can comfortably and safely do. Obviously it's not me, when the truck is moving on the road. I hang from the cables and as long as I feel safe, secure and whatever I'm strong enough to do, I do.

    • Beth: (about getting cast in and working on "Leverage") I got hired on a Friday and I was in Chicago shooting on the next Monday. They told me that I was going to be hanging upside down on this 44-story building in the middle of Chicago at four o'clock on the morning. I said, 'Great! I'll do it!'

    • Beth: I think when it comes to work, I'm so focused, I don't really give myself the time to be afraid. As long as I know I'm safe and I rehearse and I know what I'm supposed to do, I go in and do it.

    • Beth: (about preparing for her role as Parker on "Leverage") It's been a lot of stuff I can handle, and so I work out and stretch. They give me plenty of prep time with the stunt guys and I'm always prepared for what they're going to ask me to do.

    • Beth: (about the coolest thing she's done on "Leverage") I did my first fight scene, I've hung upside-down off of buildings, I've worked with a green screen... That's all been very exciting.

  • My favorite part was when she (Parker)was assisting the frightened informatics gentleman on the crew.

    8.0
Beth Riesgraf as Parker in Leverage

Ms. Riesgraf nailed the character of Parker. Her Straight/ literal/ socio-path rendition of Parker is so unexpectedly delightful. The way that Parker tries to blend and relate to her co-worker's stories of their past is scary hilarious. The character really helps transition the scenes. I am never disappointed. I think the Parker character should be used right before commercial more frequently. I find that I cannot wait to see the next scene. The athletics that Ms. Riesgraf brings to the role is an nice unique embellishment. But Parker's off hand manner of thinking that everyone can do it, just like her is comical. My favorite part was when she was assisting the frightened informatics gentleman on the crew.moreless
