Beverlee was the first actress ever to have her name appear directly after the title of a soap opera. The credits read: Texas - starring Beverlee McKinsey.
Beverlee admits that she has never watched Guiding Light although she appeared on the soap for nearly eight years.
Beverlee: (on her shocking departure from "Guiding Light") If they're bent out of shape it's because, for once, somebody beat 'em at their own game!
Beverlee: One of the reasons why I never give an interview is that I am extremely private, and the other reason is that I'm outrageously opinionated and honest, so I'm apt to say something that people will take offense to.
Beverlee: I love being hated!
Beverlee: The fact that I am a private person and that I don't seek out publicity, does not mean that I'm not really a part of this industry.
Beverlee: (on why she prefers working in New York) California was never very nice to me. I went back two or three times and they said, 'Who are you and where did you come from?'
Beverlee: (about working on the series "Texas") I loved that show! It was like a real family.
