Beverlee McKinsey is an American actress best known for originating the role of "Iris Cory" on the NBC soap opera Another World.


Considered by many to be "the finest actress ever to work on soap operas," McKinsey also originated the role of "Alexandra Spaulding" on the long running CBS soap opera Guiding Light.


Since leaving television in 1992, Beverlee has lived in Southern California in order to be close to her son and his family. Beverlee died on May 2, 2008 due to complications from a kidney transplant she had several years ago.
