Beverley Mitchell

Beverley: For the longest time, I never thought I was intimidating to guys, but I'm kind of finding out that maybe there is some tiny thread of intimidation.

Beverley Mitchell: I'm an only child, but my parents are my best friends. I can talk to them about anything and everything. I'm very open with them, and I trust them. They're the greatest, and I don't think I'd have made it this far without them. Actually, I know I wouldn't have.

Beverley Mitchell: I thank my parents, because I've been very grounded. Granted, I grew up a lot faster because I've always been around adults, but I've always wanted to act. I'd do it and not get paid for it. It's my passion.

Beverley Mitchell: (about her friend Angela, whose tragic death inspired an episode from Season 2 of "7th Heaven") When Brenda [Hampton] asked me if I wanted to do this episode, I suddenly realized that I needed to let out my emotions and fears if I ever wanted to get over my pain.....at first, I wasn't prepared for the emotional tidal wave that would be released. Filming that episode was both emotionally and physically exhausting. Emotions that I had ignored for so long were now being unleashed, and I did not know how I was going to deal with them. Once the tears came, they didn't stop until weeks after.

Beverley Mitchell: (about her character Lucy on "7th Heaven") We're both very similar in that we're very family-oriented and people-oriented. I think she's a little bit more naive than I am. She places so much trust in people that they burn her, and I'm not that way.

Beverley: (on 7th Heaven's, second, series finale) It was definitely sad! We love doing it for you (the fans). But if it is (truly) the end, my deepest gratitude to the amazing people I have shared the past 11 years with, and thank you to the fans for giving me the best job in the world!

Beverley: (on posing nude) To be photographed in a bikini is not such a horrible thing, but some things I just want to keep to myself!

Beverley: (about why she wants to be part of the Country and Western music industry) Well, I have always loved singing, ever since I was able to speak. I'm a country girl, through and through. I love Country music. It speaks to my soul. It always has a wonderful story and it just makes me want to get up and dance, and be happy, and I LOVE IT!

Beverley: There's a lot of times where I put a lot of pressure on myself to be perfect. Now, it's only recently that I just realized that perfect doesn't exist and I'm happy to be just who I am.

Beverley: Music is such a gift, and it's such a wonderful way to touch people.

Beverley: (about starting a new career in the Country and Western music industry) It's definitely different. You know, you're up there by yourself. I'm gonna have to stand alone on my own two feet and shine on my own. It is very intense, and very intimidating, and VERY scary because this whole record is a chance to truly see who I am; what I'm about. You see all facets of me in it. It's scary to be able to give that to someone and say, "Here I am, I hope you like it!"

Beverley: (anticipating her new Country and Western singing career) If all goes well, I'm gonna get this bug, and I'm gonna wanna be like--perform! I'm gonna be like jumping on all the stages! Anywhere I go, there's a stage--I'm on it!

Beverley: I like listening to positive things that make you feel good. I don't find Eminem that entertaining.
