Bill has trained the following wrestlers for the squared circle Daniel Puder, Danny Inferno (Danny Gimondo), Johnny Nitro (John Randall Hennigan), Matt Cappotelli, Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin & 'Silverback' Ryan Reeves.
Bill has had the following managers of Darren Wise, Jimmy 'Mouth of the South' Hart, Judd the Studd, Kevin Sullivan & Major Gunns (Tylene Buck).
In 2005 Bill became the trainer and official announcer for DSW (Deep South Wrestling) another independent promotion owned by the WWE. On 9 February 2006 Bill came out of retirement and began wrestling again in DSW.
Late in 2002 he became one of the trainers for 'WWE Tough Enough.' In October 2003 he officially retires from active competition & joins Josh Mathews as co-announcers for 'WWE Velocity.'
In February 2002, while still in the WWF, he began wresting in HWA (Heartland Wrestling Association) an independent owned by the WWF & on 12 March Bill with Raven beat Lance Cade & Steve Bradley for the HWA Tag Team Titles.
While in WCW Bill won the WCW United States Title & the WCW World Tag Team Titles. When WCW was bought out & closed down by Vince McMahon he signed on with the WWF.
He next signed on with WCW in September calling himself "The Laughing Man" & sometimes being called "The Man of Question" layer changing it to Hugh Morrus a play on words with Humorous.
In 1993 he was entered in a 16-man tournament where he won the W*ING World Heavyweight Title. In 1994 he wrestled a few matches for ECW & then went to PCW winning the PCW Heavyweight Title on 1 June 1995 in a battle royal.
He next traveled to Japan and competed in W*ING (Wrestling International New Generations) where in July he won the W*ING World Tag Team Title with his partner Mr. Pogo (Tetsuo Sekigawa) when they beat "The Headhunters", Manuel & Victor Santiago.
In 1992 he went to the AWF (American Wrestling Federation) using the name of "Crash the Terminator". While in the AWF he won his 1st title, which was the AWF Heavyweight Title by pinning Steve Strong on 28 March 1992 in Puerto Rico.
On September 22, 1997, Bill became the first wrestler to be defeated by Goldberg
In 1996, Bill turned heel by joining the Dungeon of Doom in their quest to end Hulkamania.
Bill debuted in dark matches as The Man of Questions and The Laughing Man, a strange gimmick that saw him wearing a singlet covered in question marks and laughing a lot.
In 1995, Bill was signed to a WCW contract at the behest of Kevin Sullivan who had been impressed by him.
