Season 3 of Doctor Who has just started in the U.S., and already I'm missing Billie Piper. After Eccleston's abrupt departure, she was the continuity of the show. I'm just wondering, is anyone else missing our English Rose?

I totally miss Rose! Martha isn't nearly as fun as Rose was, but maybe I'm just being unfair because I liked her so much.

Yes, I miss Rose a great deal too... but only as she was in those first two seasons. Now that she has returned for the last 3 episodes of Series 4, she's changed a lot, and I'm not used to seeing Rose this way.

I thought Martha was okay, but she was to "openly smitten" with the Doctor.. I think it was captured best from her line in "The Family of Blood" where she says, "You've gone and fallen in love with a human... and it wasn't me."

Donna is better because I love her ultra-sarcastic flare.

I read that Billie Piper doesn't let her husband watch those Series of Doctor Who with her in them because she's afraid of any potential criticism... HOW THE HECK does she handle "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" then???

I'll admit, I lost some respect for her for doing SDoaCG. I wish it was someone else instead of BP.

She did play the part very well. Future job if her acting career goes down the pans?

Billie does appear in the last 3 episodes of series four but (if you haven't already seen it) she appears in the last episode of David Tennant's run as the Doctor. Billie will always be my favourite companion to David's Doctor. I personally will forever love series 2.

Being the 1st with the new Doctor Rose will always have a place with all of the fans but the "love sick puppy" thing with her and the Doctor got old fast and it was time for her to go before the writters lost control of her and the Doctor.
