Billy Klippert attended the University of Calgary where he studied Calculus and Physics and he had his own band(Kovered in Lies) and was a guitar instrutor before his stint on Canadian Idol.
With his sunglasses atop his head(his known trademark)he continued to delight fans throughout during the first season of Canadian Idol. He made it to the Final 3, with only one brush with elimination in the Top 8 after singing "I Just Called To Say I Love You" on Motown night. He
got elimated after he Sang Stone Temple Pilots' "Plush", during the Top 3, which is a song that was
… More just too hard rock for Idol viewers.
Since his stint on Canadian Idol, Billy signed with Orange Record Label and released a self-titled debut album. Released singles and videos "Levon" and "Again".
Billy finished touring the country with Soul Decision and will be co-starring in the Toronto-based Ross Petty production of Snow White and the Group of Seven, where he joins his fellow Top 3 finalists, Ryan Malcom and Gary Beals.
