Bob Geldof is currently working on a new album (March 2009).
1 June 2007. Geldof does a Bono and edits German tabloid daily Bild as part of his campaign for raising awareness for poverty and Africa. He takes over for 1 day and draws in the voices of his counterparts and friends.
Geldof is soon to make another acting appearance. This time in a short film, written by a friend of his. It is about a Bob Geldof look alike and Bob plays the lookalike. He thinks it's a crazy idea, but obviously likes it too.
Bob Geldof's acting career isn't confined to films. He has appeared in some adverts, including milk, shaving cream and a Police Recruitment add.
Bob Geldof features on a new album from Jools Holland 'Moving out to the Country', doing 2 songs.
Dad - Bob,
Aunt - Fifi,
Sisters - Lynn and Cleo,
Girlfriend - Jeanne Marine,
Daughters - Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches, Little Pixie and Tiger Lily (their names are quite a bit longer than that!)
Geldof once tried his hand at DJing, for a 2 week stint on a rock station. He was on drive time radio and wound up his listeners by making up the traffic reports for fun. Unfortunately he incorrectly reported on Ian Dury's death (Ian Dury was still alive) - not checking on his information.
Bob Geldof wrote his autobiography in the mid80s. It is so beautifully written that it has been used as a text book for Cambridge English Literature degree. Even though it is rather dated now, it is still worth a read.
Not just a singer, Geldof has proved himself as a very talented actor, playing lead parts in:

"People are dying NOW. Give us the money NOW. Give me the money now." And later, when trying to impress the importance of his plea on the BBC presenter, Geldof yelled "**** the address, just give the phone, here's the number...."
