Bobbie: I grew up listening to a lot of country music, my father was a big country fan and he had a lot of Johnny Cash records around the house. And I grew up to listening to that, as well as Elton John and Billy Joel, those were artists who were really happening at that time (mid '70's) and all of my friends were listening to those artists as well. So I have a lot of musical influences but my first love and my first band, because I grew up in rural Georgia, was actually a bluegrass band. We did traditional bluegrass songs and we were called Stage Coach. We were the house act and the guys in the band bought the house and we offered family entertainment. There was no liquor and it was on the weekends and it was a wonderful family atmosphere. Looking back, that was a wonderful time. It was my first professional experience as a singer.

Bobbie: (asked if she would like to return to "The Bold And The Beautiful") I'm busy with my current role, but my husband David and I have discussed some fun storylines for Macy. We think there's still a lot to be told for that character. I'm definitely open to playing her in the future.

Bobbie (on her husband: David Steen): Our's was a slow-growing relationship which has become very, very deep.

Bobbie: I think I'm a good kisser.

Bobbie (on the Miss America pageant): I forgot to do my evening-gown speech. I went out and did my little turn. When I walked down the ramp, I noticed that all my family and friends had this look of sheer horror on their faces.... When I was called out as one of the top 10 I was completely shocked.

Bobbie (on how she keeps fit): It gets harder and harder. I really love to work out, and when I was doing the high-protein and the low-carb [programs] I wasn't working out as much, because I just didn't have the energy. I switched over to a more balanced [diet], and I'm gaining weight. I think I'm adjusting now. It's a struggle. I'm trying to find the right balance, because I think it's important to get your complex carbs and eat your fruits and vegetables. But switching over from that low-carb to a regular, balanced diet, I think there is that time where your body is going, "What's going on?" So I've gained a little weight, but I think I'm going to balance it out trying to eat right and exercise. It (low carbs) is great if you need to lose weight fast, but I like having a little variety.

Bobbie: When I auditioned for Macy (her "Bold and Beautiful" character), and they brought me in (to meet) the producers, they said, 'This is Brad Bell, Billy Bell, Lee Bell, and Bill Bell, Sr.' The first thing I said was, 'Well, let's play Family Feud'!
