  • Quotes

    • Bojana: (on the work in The Blind Date Project) It's sheer shitting-myself trauma for about 20 minutes before the show. Then the guy comes on to the stage and that trauma sort of feeds what happens next. It's a thrill - fear and excitement in its most productive manifestation, and it's like that the whole way through.

    • Bojana: (on being an actress) One actor in my life is enough, and that's me. With actors, it's too easy to go into this world of complaining. Someone will always be better, richer, more loved, do more work. Those dynamics don't interest me. The friends I hang out with, we create our own work rather than complain about acting.

    • Bojana: I love inappropriate humor.

    • Bojana: I didn't have many friends; I was kind of bullied at school.

    • Bojana: (on the work in the project The Blind Date Project) At 8 o'clock on the dot, a performer arrives and we proceed to go on this blind date together. The audience sees a completely improvised encounter. The only instructions we have are sent to us via text messages to our mobile phones.

    • Bojana: (on watching television) I had to make this commitment not to watch for 90 days. Like an alcoholic, I was like no TV for 90 days. Except for Rake, which I'm allowed to watch. But I don't have a television. All I have is Netflix and Apple TV and Hulu. So I have to go to my sister's house to watch it. I got so addicted last year to a couple of shows that at the end of last year I had to make a commitment to myself to not waste my life.

    • Bojana: (on real life versus Rake) One of my New Year's resolutions — apart from living an ethical life and all that kind of stuff everyone does... I have this cheat life where at work I play a prostitute and date, and in real life I'm not dating and being good.

    • Bojana: (on her experience working in TV series prior to Rake) I did one in Austriala called Satisfaction, which was actually set inside a brothel. Can you believe it? People love me as a prostitute, obviously. What is going on with my life? But that was a very different character. And I did this one a long time ago — this is the stuff you don't want anyone to know about. Satisfaction was fine, but this other one. So, I've done a couple, but only for one season. And I haven't done this for years.

    • Bojana: (on her role in Rake) The funny thing is that it's so hard to talk about, because my character changes all the time. In the beginning she's a high-class escort and her relationship with Keegan [Greg Kinnear] is questionable. Are they friends, is it something more? Is it business? What is it? And then everything keeps changing to the point where I'm waiting to read the next episode to find out what's going on with me.
