Boomer Esiason

In 2004, Boomer was inducted into the Nassau County Sports Hall of Fame, which is located in New York.

He was named "Walter Payton Man Of the Year" in 1995, when he was the quarterback for the New York Jets. The award is issued by the National Football League to players for volunteer and charity work as well as excellence on the field.

Boomer is 6'4" tall.

He got the nickname "Boomer" from his mother, who says he kicked a lot when she was pregnant with him.

In 1999, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from his alma mater at Maryland.

He attended the University of Maryland, where he set 17 school records during his college football days.
