A native Atlantan, who parlayed a Navy technical writer job into TV sitcom writing and producing for hit shows such as "Blossom" and "Mad About You."

Her breakout hit though (as a TV writer) was her creation of the WB hit "7th Heaven." The concept was based on Hampton's own life, growing up in a loving east Atlanta household and going to church every Sunday (the show's town of Glenoak is named after her church). "We grew up in an environment like that," said her sister Pat Hampton, the inspiration for "7th Heaven" matriarch Annie Camden. "On Sundays in the South, you go see

More relatives."

Since the show started Ms. Hampton has adopted her (then) 10-year-old daughter Zoe from Vietnam; and has gotten married. In an interesting twist it was her adoptive daughters teacher. She also hopes to adopt more children in the future---in particular, an 8-year-old boy from Ethiopia soon. Her credits also include the short-lived "Safe Harbor", "Love Boat: The Next Wave", etc. She continues to be the creative force on the long-lasting "7th Heaven" series.

She's currently developing a series for Showtime with actress Kirstie Alley called "Fat Actress" for January 2005.

Seventh Heaven, the best television show of our time. Consistantly touching inner rhealms,of our beings, forcing us to look ,at life situations, and how, maybe, it should be. It defies conventional humanistic doctrine. "Therefore whatsoever ye would tha hide show

I've watched Brenda over the years and am convinced that The addage " you reap what you sow , later than you sow, more than you sow." is not an addage; at all, but a truth, a Doctrine, perhaps. Never-the -less; from her family life and the love of her friends, which shows excedingly, I belive that she is living a calling. It makes me proud to see that someone will stand against what is conventional, have some moxy and do what is right. I have watched many shows and am glad to see that there is some good in whatever she does or produces.

I belive Helen and Johnny deserve kudo's as well for raising a Godly child.

"by there fruits you shall know them" " Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles"

The proof is in the pudding.

Way to go Brenda. Continue on. Allways remember . "The light of the body is in the eye."
