Corner Gas was also nominated for a Gemini in the category of "Best Comedy Program or Series".
Brent was nominated for four Canadian Comedy Awards in 2007: the first in the category of "Television Writing Special or Episode" for the fourth season episode of Corner Gas, "Kids Stuff; the second with co-writer Kevin White in the category of "Television Writing Special or Episode" for the fourth season episode of Corner Gas, "Outside Joke"; the third with co-writers Mark Farrell, Paul Mather, Kevin White, Andrew Carr, and Robert Sheridan in the category of "Television Writing - Series" for Corner Gas; and the fourth in the category of "Television Direction - Series" with co-directors David Storey, Robert de Lint, Geoff Beesley, and Mark Farrell.
Brent, along with co-writer Kevin White, won the 2007 Canadian Screenwriters' Award for the Corner Gas episode Outside Joke in the category of "Comedy and Variety".
