- (on why his children's shows of the 1970s generate such fond memories 30 years one) Brian: I don't know really.... they just seem to have stayed in people's memories. Perhaps it's just that each generation remembers the programmes of their youth as the "golden age", and the Play School generation are having their nostalgia rush at the moment. Then again, maybe the shows were done with a bit more time and care and love than lots of programmes now, which are chucked on and shout at you...
