Brian Dennehy (born July 09, 1938) Golden Globe, and Tony Award winning, Emmy nominated television, stage, and screen actor.
He was born in Bridgeport, in Connecticut, and attended Columbia University on a football scholarship where he majored in history, He then studied dramatic arts and Yale University.
Since then he has won two Tony Awards for Broadway plays, and has been nominated for a n astonishing 6 Primetime Emmy's.
