  • Quotes

    • Bridget Moynahan: (on meeting the Pope) I went up there and I just went blank. So I bent down, licked his hand and went off.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about how people perceived her after her role in Sex and the City) People hate me. It's crazy. But get this--people even yell, 'You bitch!' At me in the street.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about any part of her body that she is not proud of) I've worked out my entire life so I don't have to really get back from a problem area. It's the way I live my life. I don't have to go through dieting or crunching in for summer season to fit into a dress.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about the prospect of moving to Los Angeles) I'm still a New Yorker. I come to Los Angeles to meet producers and directors. When I stopped modeling a number of years ago, I took classes in New York and it took a couple of years before I felt comfortable to even audition. I didn't want to come to Los Angeles until I got a job to take me out here.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about her transition from modeling to acting) I think they both got there good points to them. There's a lot of traveling in modeling, and there's great pay. But, you know, there's more to do in acting. There's more of an emotional life. You get more respect.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about the cultural differences between Los Angeles and New York) In New York, you can go down to your lobby and find a whole other culture. You can stand on a corner and have hundreds of cultures flying by you. I haven't tapped into any culture in L.A. I can't walk down the street in L.A. and pop into a bar and hang out and feel comfortable. It just doesn't happen. The walking part doesn't happen.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about watching her performances in the big screen) No. [Laughs] I feel uneasy listening to myself talk. You know how you were feeling in those moments and in the film it may not be the take that you remember. You attach certain memories about how you acted in a scene and it's different when you see it. I guess you can say it's kinda weird.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about her working with Will Smith on the movie I, Robot) Oh my god, he was so funny, he had me laughing nonstop. But he knew, in some of the scenes, when it came time to really shoot it, he wouldn't play the games. He wouldn't play the jokes on me. In rehearsals, yes, but not when we actually had to shoot.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about her character Natasha in the TV series Sex and the City and how that helped her career) It was one of those things that was really only supposed to be two or three episodes. It turned into a whole character that none of us really expected to [last] through the whole season. I'm very fortunate that I got that audition and walked through that door when I did. It opened a lot of doors for me. I certainly didn't know it at the time that it had this life force that was unstoppable. I'm so fortunate to have gotten that. With that and Coyote Ugly at the same time, it sort of got me through some doors that I may have not had the chance to go through.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about her favorite TV shows) Lost. 24. I think I'm going to become a fan of Weeds. I just downloaded the whole first season so we'll see if I like it. To be honest, the one thing I always have on is CNN or 60 Minutes. I tend to only watch news programs or Discovery Channel, stuff like that. I will say I happen to be really into the one with Heidi Klum on Bravo, Project Runway and Top Chef. Those are pretty good guilty pleasures.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about working with Al Pacino in the movie The Recruit) He's very methodical but he's also very free. He's Al Pacino. I'm just lucky to be in the same movie with him. I felt very fortunate to work with him. He's just a wonderful, free actor and he gave me a lot of allowances to be that way myself.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (about her The Recruit co-star Colin Farrell) He seems to be the hot new thing. He's fantastic. He's just got this incredible energy that is so rare in people, in general, and it's infectious working with him.

    • Bridget Moynahan: Nudity is something I don't really understand and I find it completely unnecessary so I have turned down roles because it was unnecessary, but I think that if it's something that I feel is important to a role, or the scene, or to the character then I don't really have a problem with it. I just haven't had that issue quite yet.

    • Bridget Moynahan: (on her preferred alcoholic beverage) Vodka straight up, nothing in it, just right to the point. I don't even know what a lot of these fancy drinks are.

    • Bridget Moynahan: I'm not one of those people who thinks they simply deserve success. I have the drive to work.

I saw Bridget Moynahan first on "Lord of War" and thought that she was pretty and a very good actress. I was correct. I remembered I also watched her on "Gray Matters" and I was convinced that Bridget Moynahan is a really great actress. I like her style and her way of acting, and she is great acting.
