Bako has an impressive list of film and television credits to her name, and recently appeared as Bianca in HBO’s The Mind of the Married Man.
Bako left Montréal for New York and had her first big break starring in Martin Scorsese’s New York Stories. Since then, other film roles have placed Bako in handsome company, working with some of Hollywood’s most desirable men including David Duchovney in Red Shoe Diaries, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Keaton in One Good Cop, and Ralph Fiennes in Strange Days. For her most recent film, Saint Monica, featured at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival, Bako received a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Bako also received a Genie Award nomination for Best Actress in 1993 for her work in I Love a Man in Uniform, which marked her first collaboration with producer Robert Lantos.
In addition to having the starring role, Bako makes her writing and executive producing debut in G-Spot. She currently maintains homes in New York and Los Angeles.
