I would never have heard of her if I didn't watch Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends! When I watched Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, I saw what an excellent job she did at making the show! I have never seen such a brilliant, colourful, hilarious and enjoyable show. If Britt Allcroft never made Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, I would never be happy in my life. Sorry to hear she got fired because Thomas and the Magic Railroad was a failure.

  • A genius!

I'm telling you, she was a genius! She was doing great when she made the most favorite show in history, "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends"! She made it in 1984. She also made "Shining Time Station" and "TUGS". Both of them were made in the late 1980's, as "Thomas the Tank Engine" was made in the mid 1980's. She was doing great all through "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends". This show never gets cancelled. It's a good thing that it's been there for a long time on television. She also played Lady the Magical Engine in "Thomas & the Magic Railroad". What is there more to say?

Britt Allcroft met with Rev. W. Awdry in late 1983's/early 1984's and managed to get the rights to turn the much loved books into a televison series, airing in the U.K. in 1984. The show became a sucsess and Britt made season two two years later and then redid the two seasons for America via Shining Time Station. In order to get director and model maker back for season three, Britt brought out the show TUGS and then got her crew back only to write her own episodes. After Season Four, the Rev. Awdry passed away and Britt made Season Five WILD before making Thomas and the Magic Railroad and she lost her job. So Britt went from good to EVIL!
