son: Andy Campbell
Bruce Campbell was given the lead role in the T.V. Series The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. by performing a back-flip in the auditioning office.
[edit]Bruce was on the short list of actors who were considered for the role of Agent Doggett on The X-Files.
[edit]Bruce: (after the cancellation of Jack of All Trades) I'm never hurt by cancellations if I've given it my all. On Jack of All Trades, I can safely say that everyone involved gave 110 percent. If the ratings weren't good enough for the show to stay on the air, then so be it. I won't play the blame game - that's so easy to get into. I can also claim my personal life back for a while, so in that sense there's no harm done whatsoever.
[edit]Bruce: Folks always want some future incarnation of canceled cult shows (like Brisco County, Jr), but I can stand on record by saying that old television shows age like anything in television land. Nobody on the corporate level wants to be associated with a loser, and since they finance the shows, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
[edit]Bruce: (on working on Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) I was spoiled by working on those shows because of the professionalism of the main actors. Working on Xena and Hercules was always virtually problem free, and the producers were very accommodating. The US productions I've been involved in since have been a bit of an eye opener as far as work ethics go. But that's enough said on that subject.
[edit]Bruce: (When asked what he would want with him if stuck on a deserted island) A continent.
