Singer-pianist-composer Buddy Greco got his first break working for Benny Goodman after Benny's manager Elliot Wexler notice the Buddy Greco Trio (Francis Beecher and Don Sgro) at Philadelphia's Club 13 in 1948. Buddy joined the Benny Goodman Band as piano player, vocalist and arranger. When the band disbanded in 1950. Buddy appeared on TV's first late-night variety talk show program Broadway Open House in 1950. Buddy now a solo act appeared on radio programs and television shows throughout the 50's and 60's such as The Ed Sullivan Show, The Andy Williams Show, Hollywood Palace, The Dean Martin Show and many others. In 1967 Buddy hosted his own summer replacement variety show called Away We Go with comedian George Carlin as a regular. In 1968 Buddy appeared in the Broadway play Pal Joey. Buddy has toured the world performing since the 1970's.
