  • Quotes

    • Calista: (on the WGA strike) It was a mixed blessing for me to have a little bit of a break, but I am very happy that we are all back and up and running.

    • Calista (on what attracted her to Brothers and Sisters): Well, primarily it was the script. I loved the complexity of the relationships between the siblings and the complexity of my relationship with my mother, and that really appealed to me. If the script hadn't come along, I probably would still not be working.

    • Calista: We had a little walk around. We went to the zoo and it was wonderful.

    • Calista: Just the whole idea of what drives people to violence and if we know about it maybe we can prevent it. It's interesting. And these people live among us.

    • Calista: So people think I'm lying about my age all the time? It's the records that are wrong. I've never told anyone how old I am. The minute they ask me, I say 'That's none of your business.' So that means I've never once lied about my age. Now that's true!

    • Calista: I don't see it, but I'm flattered nonetheless. To look like Michelle Pfeiffer is quite nice.

    • Calista: I'm not particularly pre-occupied with the husband / baby thing. Besides I have a dog.

    • Calista (about her character from Ally McBeal): I embrace everything about Ally... I don't particularly see her as a whiner. One week she's tough, the next she's really weak. I love that. She's human.

    • Calista: I'm fascinated by women who aren't making a great impression on people. I think there's probably something there that is more than meets the eye.

    • Calista (About her character on ): I embraced everything about Ally... I didn't particularly see her as a whiner. One week she was tough, the next she was really weak. I loved that. She was human.

    • Calista (wondering if working on Ally McBeal contributed to her eating disorder after Portia de Rossi had similar problems): I've often wondered if I wasn't on that show, anorexia may not have happened. I didn't really know at that point what it was like to be a celebrity and the only people I knew at the time who had a similar experience where these women I worked with.

    • Calista: (Calista admits to her eating problem) I was working 15-hour days on the set and then I was dealing with the end of the show, which was basically my life. I started under-eating, overexercising, pushing myself too hard and brutalising my immune system. I guess I just didn't find the time to eat. I am much more healthy today.

    Bad actress. Too thin.
  • Calista Flockhart is a really really great actress. I love her in Brothers and Sisters as Kitty Walker-McCallister.

I really really love Calista Flockhart. I first saw her from the movie The Birdcage and then I watched Brothers and Sisters and I began to love her more. She is just so amazing in the series. I watched Brothers and Sisters from the very first season until the latest episode right now. I just can't wait to watch the next episode that's coming this Sunday. I think that everybody should love her because she's just a great actress, a great mum, a great wife and a great person. I'd really love to meet her if I get a chance to. I love her as Kitty Walker but that doesn't mean that I don't love her herself. I wish that someday I can meet her..moreless
