Carly Pope

In March 2000, Carly graced the cover of Teen magazine. She also appeared in pictorials for the TV Babes Special of FHM, Razor Magazine, Teen People, and TV Guide.

In 1999, Carly was featured in the music video, "Big New Shoes". She also appeared in the 2000 Jessie Farrell music video for "Don't Even Try".

Carly has a pet bull dog.

Carly says that if she weren't an actress, then she would most likely be a grade-school teacher.

In 2000, Carly ranked No.42 in Stuff magazine's 100 Sexiest Women. She was also named among Teen People's 25 Hottest Stars Under 25 that year.

Carly, nicknamed Carlita and Lita, is 5' 6" (1.68 m) tall. She is half Italian, 25% Yugoslavian, and 25% Irish. She has a piercing on her belly button.

Her favorite movie is Labyrinth while her favorite book is Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. Carly's favorite type of food is Japanese.

She enjoys long walks, writing poetry, and constantly reading. She plans on learning how to play the guitar.

Pope often returns to Vancouver to spend time with her family, with whom she is close. She has an older brother named Kris Pope, who is an actor, and a younger brother named Alexander Pope.

An agent saw her in a school stage production, which led to Carly's screen debut in an independent children's film, Cowboys and Aliens, on location in distant Eastern Europe.

She trained in dance until she entered Lord Byng Secondary School, when she began studying drama in an advanced program.

She found out the day after her high school graduation that she was going to Romania to shoot a feature film.

She speaks Italian, Spanish and French fluently, and is seeking to expand her education in literature and languages.

Carly splits her time between Vancouver, British Columbia and Los Angeles, California.

Six months after graduating from Lord Byng High School in Vancouver, Canada, Carly went to Hollywood and got the role of Sam McPherson on WB's teen drama Popular.

In the Popular episode, Fire in the Hole, where all the characters have to perform the STD play that Ms. Glass wrote, Carly Pope displays her real life tap dancing and singing skills.

Even after their show Popular ended, Carly remained very good friends with co-star Leslie Bibb. She is also friends with actor Brendan Fehr, whom she worked with in Disturbing Behavior (1998) and Nemesis Game (2003).

Carly is represented by The Characters Talent Agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and The Gersh Agency in Beverly Hills, California. She is managed by Handprint Entertainment based in Los Angeles, California.

She auditioned for the role Elizabeth 'Liz' Parker on the WB's Roswell.

In 2001, she appeared in a television commercial for Pepsi. She has also modeled for Guess Jeans.
