Carly, nicknamed Carlita and Lita, is 5' 6" (1.68 m) tall. She is half Italian, 25% Yugoslavian, and 25% Irish. She has a piercing on her belly button.

Her favorite movie is Labyrinth while her favorite book is Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. Carly's favorite type of food is Japanese.

She enjoys long walks, writing poetry, and constantly reading. She plans on learning how to play the guitar.

Pope often returns to Vancouver to spend time with her family, with whom she is close. She has an older brother named Kris Pope, who is an actor, and a younger brother named Alexander Pope.

An agent saw her in a school stage production, which led to Carly's screen debut in an independent children's film, Cowboys and Aliens, on location in distant Eastern Europe.

She trained in dance until she entered Lord Byng Secondary School, when she began studying drama in an advanced program.
