Carly Schroeder

Carly has two projects out right now and I'm excited to see both! Forget Me Not is a good scary old-fashioned thriller with lots of scares mixed in with modern-day scenes. I think she does a great job as Sandy Channing and the movie keeps you guessing up until the end.



Her second project, "Slightly Single in LA" is also a great movie about friends growing up together and following your dreams despite the obstacles that come your way. Definitely something to watch as Carly plays a girlie-girl who likes fun things to do and always supports her friends as much as she can.

When she played a delightful brat on "Lizzie McGuire", I gave her props for being able to convey true intelligence without being "sitcom-y". Her ease in her role as Melina Bianco and chemistry with Jake Thomas (another truly gifted child actor with a natural flair for comedy) had to be the reason she kept popping up in the series after her initial appearance. I think she came close to the number of appearances that Christian Copelin made as "Lanny", the mute boy. Obviously, she was in her element, so to speak.



But just when I thought there wasn't more to her than comedic roles, I caught her in "Cold Case", playing the instigator in a junior-high sleepover full of fateful, cruel twists. That she could submerge her comedic gift and portray such a heartless, contemptuous girl with her own inner demons proved what a true professional she is.



I hope she gets many more opportunities to display her talents so many more people can appreciate what a fine, natural actress she is.

She is a wonderful and talented person. When she is in movies, she makes the movie come to life.
