Carol was born to Prentiss and Caroline DeMent in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley where she attended Van Nuys High School and later The Hollywood School of Performing Arts. She began acting at the age of 20.

Carol also did a lot of stunt work during her career. Currently, she is living in the
… More beach area of Los Angeles, where she's lived for over 25 years. She attends Bel Air Presbyterian Church and volunteers for the Special Olympics, Animal Protective Organizations and other charities. Carol is still acting, doing stand-in work and some stunt work. She is a standing member of Screen Actors Guild.
