In preparation for her role as Marilyn Bell, the first woman to cross Lake Ontario in 1954, in Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story, Caroline underwent two months of swim training at the Pointe-Claire Swim Club.

Caroline's father is Sébastien Dhavernas and her mother is Michèle Deslauriers. She has a sister Gabrielle, who specializes in dubbing and who shares a very similar voice timber with her.

Caroline is 5'4" (163 cm.) tall.

Caroline provided the voice-overs for her own character in the French version of
Wonderfalls. She had to argue with the dubbing company in France, because they were not convinced that she had done this before. They finally let her do her own voice in French after they saw the work she had previously done.

Her first name is pronounced like "Carolyn" because of her French Canadian heritage. Her last name is roughly pronounced "Daverna" by English-speaking audiences but is originally pronounced as "Davernaus" (aus like in "house").
